Aurélien Mourez joined the hugely popular Ox and Finch in 2015 and was promoted to the role of head chef in 2016. Aurélien was born in in the Jura region of France, and continues to draw inspiration from the areas cuisine. He worked and trained in his home country (including in 3 Michelin star Lameloise), and moved to Scotland in 2010, following a stint in the Domaine de Lonvilliersin the Caribbean. Prior to joining Ox and Finch Aurélien worked in Glasgow’s Michael Caines at Abode, Brian Maule at Chardon d’Or and Cail Bruich.   

Ox and Finch opened in the Kelvingrove area of Glasgow in 2014 and was awarded a Michelin Bib Gourmand shortly after opening, the restaurant has retained the award for nine consecutive years.  The restaurant serves simple, seasonal and ingredient-led menus which combine big, bold flavours with global influences; a great wine list and friendly, attentive service.
