Ben has been working in kitchens since the age of 14, where he started off washing up under Chef Simon Shaw of El Gato Negro. After working in various jobs – such as catering for Game of Thrones in Northern Ireland and a spell at renowned Glasgow restaurant, The Gannet – Ben moved to London in 2018. He joined 1 Michelin Star restaurant, Barrafina Dean Street, where he worked as Junior Sous, before making the move to Fenchurch Restaurant where he worked as Senior Sour under Head Chef, Michael Carr. In June of 2022, Ben moved back to Barrafina Dean Street, where he now works as Head Chef – creating authentic and contemporary Spanish tapas, with vibrant daily specials made with the freshest, seasonal produce.
