Born in Newcastle, Kenny Atkinson is a Michelin-starred chef with nearly 30 years of experience in the UK’s top kitchens. In September 2025, he joined Solaya at art’otel London Hoxton as Concept Chef, bringing his refined, produce-led style to the capital. Atkinson is Chef Patron of House of Tides and Solstice by Kenny Atkinson, becoming the first to hold Michelin stars at two Newcastle restaurants. He won The Great British Menu in 2009 and 2010 and regularly appears on national television.
