Sam was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 12 having just started high school. Since her diagnosis, Sam has been diagnosed with coeliac and POI and is a huge advocate for ensuring those diagnosed with autoimmune conditions know they are not alone in their struggles. Sam was shortlisted as a top 5 finalist on the Fortnum & Mason Platinum Pudding competition and featured in the BBC TV production all about the competition. Since then, she has had the opportunity to spread more awareness through hosting food demos around making healthier choices whilst living with autoimmune diseases
